Mounjaro from the American laboratory Eli Lilly, which belongs to the new generation of anti-obesity treatments, is now marketed in France, health authorities announced Wednesday, a few weeks after Novo Nordisk's flagship Wegovy.

"The drug Mounjaro - tirzepatide - has been marketed since November 2024," the French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products (ANSM) said in a press release, noting the conditions are just as strict as those in force for Wegovy, based on the molecule semaglutide, which is also contained in the antidiabetic drug Ozempic.
